HAVE A QUESTION?
WE HAVE ANSWERS!
Our standard asset protection trust package is $500... The first year and every year thereafter.
Our ULTIMATE ASSET PROTECTION PACKAGE – which includes a Cayman Islands asset protection trust AND a Wyoming LLC - is only $750... The first year and (yes, you guessed right) every year thereafter.
The Cayman Islands is a common law jurisdiction with a comprehensive asset protection trust law. A properly established Cayman Islands trust is impervious to creditors.
Like most every other asset protection trust jurisdiction, Cayman Islands law recognizes the concept of a "fraudulent transfer" (aka "voidable transaction"). Assets transferred into a trust to avoid a specific known creditor may be set aside, but only if the creditor presents a proper, recognizable claim in a Cayman Islands court within the relevant statute of limitations period.
With few exceptions, most creditors are not going to hire a Cayman Islands lawyer, appear in a Cayman Islands court, and post a bond there to have their claim heard. In our experience, establishing a Cayman Islands asset protection trust is enough to deter even a hardened creditor.
If you are concerned about a potential creditor, we highly recommend that you opt for our $250 LLC add-on. Not only does this enable you to manage your assets directly without trustee involvement, but it adds another layer of protection against creditor claims.
Our trust service is designed to be instantaneous. Once you order your trust, we normally generate a trust agreement and email it to you within minutes.
Of course, while our website operates 24/7, our human staff does not. If you order a trust on weekends or holidays, it may take a few hours for us to respond.
We offer the option to establish a limited liability company (LLC) owned by your trust and managed by you for an additional fee of $250.
In addition, we charge our normal hourly rates for anything you ask us to do for your trust. Open a bank account? We charge for that. Prepare asset transfer documents? There is a fee for that.
Our hourly rates run from $100 to $1,000 per hour. We based our fees on whether the requested task is a matter that our paralegals can handle, or whether you require a rocket scientist's expertise (just kidding... we don't have any rocket scientists on staff here).
We believe in fair, transparent pricing. If you need something from us, call or send us an email, and we will come back to you with an estimate for time charges. For some routine services, such as opening a bank account, we charge a flat fee.
Simple... Purchase an LLC add-on from us for $250!
Why should you purchase an LLC? Most people never need to use a trustee except in the most dire of circumstances, such as a creditor collecting on a judgment.
When you order our LLC service, your trust becomes the Member (owner) of the LLC, and you can appoint yourself or anyone else as Manager. As Manager, you can open bank accounts, transact business, and run your LLC without our involvement or interference. We simply hold the membership interest and, on request, step in to take over the LLC if you fear a creditor issue.
Our ULTIMATE ASSET PROTECTION PACKAGE includes everything in our standard Cayman Islands asset protection trust service, as well as a Wyoming LLC.
Because the LLC must be registered with the Wyoming Secretary of State, proof of registration and all package documents are normally delivered within one business day from when you order with us.
You are going to love our answer:
NOTHING.
That's right... Zip. Zilch. Zero. Nada.
Seriously, we are mindful of our responsibilities as a trustee and service provider to our customers. For your own security and peace of mind, we encourage you to tell us who you are. This way, if you ever ask us to send you anything from your trust (such as money), we know with certainty that we are sending the money to you. We will ask you to provide us with a copy of your government-issued identity document (such as your passport, driver's license, or national identity card)... but you don't have to share with us anything that you don't want to.
Please note that, while we may not ask for anything, banks and other service providers will undoubtedly ask you to produce your identity and tax documents. Also, depending on the service you request from us, we may need to furnish your tax information under FATCA.
These are the recommended steps to take should you become the subject of litigation after you have established an asset protection trust with us:
- Relax
- Contact us by email or notify us via our Contact Form.
- We will give you instructions to submit copies of any notices and court proceedings to us.
- We will schedule a call with you to discuss the matter.
Please bear in mind that our $500 annual fee does not cover our time and expenses in reviewing and responding to litigation matters. In our scheduled call, we will discuss your options for hiring counsel to defend your structure. We may ask you to post a retainer to cover our fees.
Our team has provided trust services to literally thousands of clients over the past 40 years. Over that time, not a single client who properly established a trust with us has ever lost a single asset. Not one.
We have experienced instances when trust assets were seized as part of a criminal case brought against a settlor of a trust (but not cases against any trust beneficiaries). This is to be expected. If you are a crook, don't waste your time and money on an asset protection trust with us or any other trust service provider. Proceeds of a crime cannot be protected anywhere in the world.
